Next to reservations you of course also have guests walking into your restaurant. Add walk-ins into your system to update your availability and prevent being overbooked.

Adding walk-ins is even easier than adding reservations. You just select a ticket and the number of guests. No need to enter the contact information of your guests, the day or the time. Walk-ins are always created on the current day, at the current time, and they are automatically checked-in.

Super quick, so you can focus on your guests.

⚠️ Formitable tries to match the walk-in with your existing shifts from the selected ticket. The system looks at the ticket, number of guests, time and day, as well as the area. If a matching shift is found, the length of the reservation will be adjusted accordingly. If not, then a standard duration will be used.

Add a walk-in in the overview (in table view)

  • In Formitable, go to the Overview.

  • If you are in the table view, simply click on the table name on the left-hand side to add a walk-in onto that table.

  • Select the right ticket for the occasion.

  • Adjust the number of guests if necessary.

Add a walk-in in the overview (in list view)

  • In Formitable, go to the Overview.

  • If you are in the list view, use the + plus button you also use for new reservations and select ‘Walk-in’ at the top.

  • Select the right ticket for the occasion.

  • Adjust the number of guests if necessary.

  • Optional: Place the walk-in on a different table by clicking ‘Select table’.

✍️ Contact information: If you want (or need) to add contact details of your walk-in guests, you either place them in the section for 'internal notes'. Or 'Save' the walk-in and reopen it again to add contact details.

📌 Once your walk-ins leave your restaurant, simply click on check-out to shorten the duration to the current time.

What’s next?

  • In the Dashboard at Acquisition channels, you can see how many of your guests are walk-ins.
