Install Formitable on your Wix website

This article explains how you can embed the Formitable widget on your Wix website. This will only take a few minutes and doesn't require any coding skills


Setting up the widget with your configuration page

  • In Formitable, go to the widget page in settings and then open the widget configuration page.

  • On this page, you can customize the widget and generate the widget code that you need to add to your Wix site later on.

What can you change on the configuration page?

  • Select a color to match the style of your website.

  • Choose when the widget should appear for visitors.

  • Choose whether the toolbar with the reservation button should be visible.

  • Enable the analytics module to track your widget. (See our analytics guide to learn more.)

 


Place the Formitable widget script on your website

  • Log in on Wix.

  • Select the website you want to place the widget.

  • Choose Settings in the menu on the left, scroll down to Advanced, and select Custom code.

  • Select Add Custom code in the top right. By adding the script, we can install the widget on all pages.

  • Paste the code that you've copied from the configuration page into the code snippet box at the top.

  • Now select Add Code to Pages All Pages Load code on each new page.

  • For Place Code in select Body - end.

  • Now click Apply to implement your widget!

Optional: Open the widget with a button

Do you want to open the widget after a button is clicked on your website?

 

To make the widget open after clicking a button or link in Wix you need to

add some extra code.

 

Add the following script to the box to the existing code you just added. You can just add it above or below the code you've just added.

Button to open the widget - place this as link:

http://www.WEBSITE.com?ft-shop=reservations

 

Button to open the takeaway shop - place this as link:

http://www.WEBSITE.com?ft-shop=takeaway

 

Button to open the gift voucher shop - place this as link:

http://www.WEBSITE.com?ft-shop=giftshop

 

Make sure that the link opens in the current window. When you are ready, click Done and make sure to publish your changes.
